Compassion needs a Comeback

Empathy is my daily stance

Sympathy and concern

Intrinsically and fundamentally

Motivate my undertakings

I cannot turn a blind eye

To sufferings or misfortunes of others

I see and feel the evil

Humanity has sadly become

Words are irrelevant

When actions don’t confirm

Your preaching and posts

I declare loud and clear

We have not been created

For money to dictate our time

Our souls should be the currency

Of giving and taking , receiving and sharing

Compassion needs a comeback

Show what your heart is made of

Help thy neighbour, friend or foe

Listen to the ones crying in silent

Life has become treacherous

Uphill battles and challenges

Not everyone elevates to claim victory and successions

Failings and fears debilitate and undermine us

Solitary confining and raging infernos

Beating their daily drums

Medicated or free flowing

Selfishness reigns supreme

Communication done blindly

Oblivious to those trying to get by

Alleviate the mental illness with guidance and support

Share the resources naturally and man-made

Mother Earth does it effortlessly

Help and help some more

Be the beacon of hope

Change is beckoning us

Join the heart revolution

To truly care and give a damn!!
