In Star Wars red is bad. Hate. Bloodshed.

In Harry Potter red is good. Courage. Heart. So, also blood.

At McDonalds and Target it means impulse, desire, and appetite.

It is the chosen color of both the Republican party and the Democratic Socialists of America.

When you put it next to green it means Christmas. Next to black it can mean sex, revolution, or lumberjacks.

Purple used to be royal, then it was gay, now it's a mattress.

Green is envy, money, eco-friendly, young & healthy or old & rotten.

Pink used to be the "boy" color because it was considered vibrant and loud and bold. Blue was the "girl" color because it was viewed as calm, docile, and reserved.

So when someone tells you you're blue or pink, or swears the world is black and white, take comfort in the fact that those colors can mean whatever you want them to.

Color means nothing. Or everything. Anything.

Seems no matter what I write, it almost always makes me cringe a year later. I wonder where this trajectory is taking me.
