Colors
August 9th- For James And Oneg True Colors Challenge

*
Husks and hues and autumn dew
Amongst the flowers in fields ablaze
Kisses my skin like a new tattoo
Golden delights in bright amber waves
Sky burst conclusions cast bold streams of saffron
Burns like the sand under deep tawny flames
Wild and free dancers under the sun
Enjoying the season with midsummer games
All of the colors explode in succession
Each one revealing its own unique style
Absorbed by the spirit releasing a lesson
That everything will be done in its own time
Warm and inviting, it calls to my heartstrings
Cool and impulsive invites me to dance
Learning the steps that each new day brings
Step outside of the comfort and give it a chance

So poignant
This was absolute wonderful! Loved your poem!
Oh my. This is just gorgeous work. Well done.
Love the image. Makes me a little homesick for the North. There is a lot to think about in this one at least for me.
You came up with an impressive array of ways to write yellow. Lovely, lovely poem, Kelli!
