Buried Treasures

Lost

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished about a year ago 1 min read

The instance of extinction came to call on me today

In the darkness of the shadows

Where my demons go to play

I lost my inhibitions and the ability to see

Why do I feel like I’m the only one

That doesn’t feel like me

Everything is different now, it seems that everything has changed

The ripples on the water and the fragrance of the rain

Nothing is what it was before, not like it was at the start

I let go of my feelings

Buried my head and heart

A buried treasure lost because the content lost its spark
