Colored Facts

My hue,

My shade,

My tint,

My tone.

Leaves few,

That engage,

Imprints,

Alone.

As surprise Colors your face,

Ignorance attacks my faith.

The evil creeps up with haste,

So I chose to give you a taste.

A young boy full of Color and character,

With discrimination nearing his plate.

Taught to love all but soon thereafter,

Was bombarded with universal hate.

The experiences Colored his outlook,

At times irritation Colored his voice.

He spun that negative output.

Into inspiration led by choice.

Once pledged to Colors during assembly,

Noticed they Colored history to avoid truths.

Knowing the greedy Color of the enemy,

He still salutes the troops.

The usage of the word Color is,

What enraged Colors in my unique skin.

Hoping I Colored with righteous adjectives,

Product of Colorations.

I'm more than just a Color,

Hope to you I'm more than Black.

There's so much more you'll discover,

And that's a Colored Fact!
