Desire, how thous deceive

You intoxicate me like champagne

A bright, lurid, lucid pull

A longing gulp emptied into my wanting soul

As tides spin in the baritone of a promise on your lips, my name

Eclipses rise, oh love, of me, please claim

For I am yours—into me you I put my whole

Being, yet this inferno, you depart and it meanders dull

Your cold blue sheets reek of shame

On your air I choke, gasp toxins

What miasma is this? My desire struggles to thrive

I gag upon the deceit of your vile penetrative poisons

Your thorn bleeds this rose with relentless lies

Never so breached has been my sacred garden

The warm glowing Eden that cries betwixt my thighs

Sonnet
