Cloud Pain

Said a prayer in lover's name...

I said a prayer in lover’s name

lit heat along the string of time

drank blood with the devil

and swore I’d give up god

I sang low in dark evenings with the sun rising to someone else

And

Baring my sins to your strangers

I knelt in line

Crazed for love and grey eyed for lust

Crazed for love and grey eyed for trust

I shocked myself again

Forgotten or forgiven

I am neither

And

I beg for bruises, but,

nothing comes from cloud-pain and soft veins

No

Nothing comes from cloud-pain and soft vain
