Clashing

Of hearts and minds

By Katrina ThornleyPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

The fatality of the words

Formed at the end

Of our pointed staffs,

Poised for attack

With helmets askew

And shields held higher

To block our pride

And not our hearts-

Deja vu of never again

As we charged forward

With little consideration

Of what tomorrow

Would hold.
