City at night

The quiet moment

The city sleeps, a tapestry of hushed breaths,

Beneath a sky where stars like diamonds rest and a bird laughs.

A lone streetlamp casts its golden glow,

On cobblestones where secrets softly flow.

A whisper stirs, like a melody untold,

From a window high, a story yet to unfold.

A single tear, a pearl of silver light,

Falls from a dream, a silent, starlit night.

The city wakes, a symphony of sound,

As dawn's first blush paints the world around.

The tear, a memory, a whisper in the breeze,

A fleeting glimpse of what the heart believes.

A quiet moment.

I enjoyed how the poem mirrors the rhythm of urban life—quiet on the surface, but alive underneath. Well done—this piece truly lingers.
