Circles

Light Touching The Water

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished 7 months ago Updated 7 months ago 1 min read

the sun left kisses on the innocence of my skin

marking its affection in freckles, cinnamon

dots of color danced about, welcoming the warm rays in

gathering speckles, while connecting every one of them

the very proof of our unending union

an understanding, silent, left unspoken

all the elements together remain in tune

as the circle of light goes unbroken
