Chronicles of an Angry Wife

Dissolution of Fancy

By B. M. GomezPublished 4 years ago 1 min read
Little did I know it’d be consequential..

As I’ve accepted this blatant lack of regard

The weight I carry in my heart grows heavy.

I was bred to be a leader not a consort

Yet I sit and bare witness to your life

Accepting all that you are and giving you love aplenty

Yes, I… your sweet, loving and ignorant wife.

I work to make you feel like THE KING,

Which stems from my perception of your potential

And I was beyond happy when you gave me this ring

But little did I know it’d be consequential.

I thought when you chose to marry me

It was because you saw an equal

And I later thought ‘but how can that be’

‘Till I looked to your past, reflected on your prequel…

You don’t know values, virtues or respect

Basking in self-loathing and darkness

How could I think to come and interject?

This will be you until YOU decide, regardless.

The poets and wise say pain breeds’ wisdom

The Queen in me knows this as a fact

I see the mind body and soul that is her prism

A portal which is everything but abstract…

heartbreak
