Yesterday, we were young
Opening to doors to lives yet unlived
Until we found our lights in darkest places.

Another day side by side with you. As the
Radiant sun shines down on your smiling face, and
Everything we've grown to be together.

Before you spoke to me, displayed your most hidden self
Every morning was grey, bleak, lacking hope, joy
And those little quiet moments of perfect calm.
Useless dreams and broken fantasies filled my days
Till I learned how to read your secret words
Internalized your words, their hidden meanings
Found the courage to see myself as you do
Undeniable that I, at long last, have fallen in
Love with you
