Choice is a great confusion
And greater delusion
If you think that simply having it is a good thing
Choice can lead to greater guilt
To losing all one has built
In the blink of an eye
All lost to time
Choice can paralyze an action
cripple a pattern
Ruin a dream
It can lead to love Or hate
Regardless of reason, Devoid of fate
And I have met many a person
Entrapped in a life without freedom
Who grinned a gleaming smile
Happy in the cage they call their life
