Morte

It is oft proclaimed, that chivalry is dead,

aye, that may be so,

for what is chivalry but

a list of virtues, not easily followed.

-

It is easy in life to walk

past one in need, to not

think of the ills suffered, by

your fellow man.

-

It is easy in life to

decry that 'why should I',

when no one else is,

to cover your shame.

-

It is easy in life to lie

when the truth may

humble, the venom comes

quick, that much is true.

-

But I say to you,

it matters not, the

actions of others, you yourself

are the master of your will.

-

It matters not if the truth is hard,

it should be said or the

truth is worth

nothing at all.

-

the deeds of others are

easy to blame

to declare to all, that

chivalry est morte.

-

It is quickly forgotten the

acts of the few

who go out of their way

to display kindness, in defiance.

-

Alas it may be to no avail,

but I proclaim unto you,

that chivalry is alive,

kept hopeful in the deeds

-

of the virtuous few.
