An ode to staying strong

What happened? Did you get a kick or a fist to the torso?

A life filled hit to your core maybe more so.

I’m not completely sure what it was that knocked you down.

No matter what it was, keep going. Don’t let it stop you now.

If you’ve been burned through life’s trials just stop drop and roll over.

Tell these demons to breeze off. Don’t hand your soul over.

Stand up to the curve ball of life and be brave.

Let it be yourself you save and don’t be put in a grave.

The top of the mountain is the place you’re meant to end up.

These pieces of life you have to pick up. It’s time to get up

Walk out in the world with your chest out and chin up.

Nice. Kinda the story of my life. if it weren't for facing the world "Chest out and chin up," I'd likely be drooling and drying in a corner somewhere.
