Life’s Illusions

When the quiet gets loud

And sleep is evasive

I go out chasing clouds

Where the words will be waiting

Lets look death in the eye

I murmur through a sigh

And the dreams in my mind

Spark the secrets I hide

Away on the breeze

Not a care in the world

Like the leaves on the trees

A million colors unfurl

Swirling around in the sky

On the verge of forever

Leaving me tongue tied

On my sleepless endeavor

To discover that place

With life’s illusions uncovered

At the end of the race

Where peace of mind is discovered

Good work and what a way to listen to yourself to accomplish what one may be working on.
