Change's Complex

In the news today

And in much since history,

There is not much,

To discuss that hasn't been said,

Already.

The destruction of societies,

Nations,

People live in fear,

Or rebel to live.

To fight for the right,

To be seen as human;

As equals.

A history that keeps repeating,

Because leaders are insane.

Never learning from their actions,

Yet expect the same results.

And the ones who desire change,

Are labeled as

The problem.

The problem has never been

Change.

But greed and power and fear,

Is what makes this nation

And nations alive,

Dangle over our heads,

The carrot of hope.

We keep fighting for change,

And we will keep fighting.

Because to give up,

Will show that being

Insane

Is the solution.
