Celebrate Canada Day
A Villanelle For Canada Day

Introduction
A close friend suggested I write a poem for Canada Day about the ties with the United Kingdom and, of course, all things Canadian, so I will use a villanelle format and weave in some fun and history too.

The music is from the Canadian band Bachman-Turner Overdrive, appropriately "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet"

"O Canada...."
What a great way to show patriotism in a way. Good job.
This is great, Mikeydred! I am Canadian & I appreciate this tribute so much. I love Britain and our alliance! I will now go click on some of the links here. Thank you!
"Inclusive, Strong And Polite That's Canada" I couldn't agree more. Missed it deeply. (The first time I ever read a text out loud was on the Denman Island Readers and Writers Festival.) Greetings from Finland.
It's a great country, and we are happy to celebrate with it today. A cool villanelle, Mike.
