An ode to the process

Everybody wants the butterfly flipping wings.

First you have to start with caterpillar things.

Trust the journey. Don’t wait for it to be over so soon.

Only then will you weigh enough to fit the cocoon.

Very desperate you seem. You can’t wait to fly away.

Earning wings means the old you has to die today.

Have you endured the trials? Did you struggle enough?

A testament to your wings just to see if they’ll be fluttering up.

If you really wanna bloom you gotta ride the leaf.

Only then you’ll be reborn in the blanket from inside the leaf.

You wanna fly? Then have faith you’re gonna fly.

All caterpillars cocoon and turn into butterflies.
