All These Years

seven long years now

since our paths crossed

nothing has changed

I am still excited

to check my phone for messages

I am still thinking of you

every second of the day

always looking forward

to seeing you on-cam

sharing stories

past and present

because future talks

are only limited to

when is our next adventure

what other countries to explore

and nothing more

I still have butterflies

every time I hear

you say " I love you"

our situation maybe different now

I just want you to know

nothing has changed

as far as my love

for you is concerned.

what has changed?

I love you even more

I learned to adapt,

adjust, accommodate

accept our present reality

not to question

no expectations

just loving you

conscious and mindful

to stay on my lane

and mind my own business

God will give me the grace

He will take care of the rest.
