Clawing at my eyes

Just to get a glimpse of you,

And licking the razor

To remember your taste.

I've shoved roses up my nose

But you're made of smoke.

Everything's pale in comparison

To the stars bleeding in my memory,

And I'll spend forever

Trying to catch you again.

Shadowed souls, cursed magic, poetry that tangles itself in your soul and yanks out the ugly darkness from within. Maybe there's something broken in me, but it's in you too.

Such a dark upsetting poem. I had a difficult time reading it. Impressive work, but very upsetting.

I love the way you personified love, made it this illusive character/ person that can never be properly attained or appreciated. Well done, SD!!
