Captivated

For Love

By John HowlandPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

She breathes with light,

bright shining with the waves of those soft gleams

which catch all naked eyes of stars;

and calmly exhales paler mists

of yellow clouds made to wander by the skies,

and fall to rest on suns who wane.

Her heart enkindled,

like the night reveals the deepest flames

of lives encamped across the heavens

that keep her joy alive on lips

and dance with notions sung on high;

voiced angels dwelling in her smile.

Like the living cry

of man's called soul kept near

for hallowed heights of gracious life,

I watch in awe

as approaching dawn she is beauty;

and I am captivated.

About the Creator

John Howland

Just a man who loves the simple things in life: Mountains, music, poetry, photography, and coffee...definitely coffee. Hold on scratch that, now I sound like a hipster.

I hope my words and photos can help inspire your creativity, enjoy!
