Can’t TRACE you.

Can’t UNTHREAD you.

Can’t NAME it.

Can’t TAME it.

Can’t FORGET.

Can’t REMEMBER right.

Can’t SPEAK it.

Can’t cradle the QUIET.

Can’t run FROM it.

Can’t run TO it.

Can’t SEVER the tether.

Can’t STILL the pulse.

Can’t REWIND the start.

Can’t REWRITE the end.

Can’t UNFEEL the echo.

Can’t PRETEND again.

Can’t LOVE you unfractured.

Can’t LEAVE you unmarked.

Can’t TRUST the calm.

Can’t SURVIVE the dream.

Can’t SHOW my edges.

Can’t SOFTEN my spine.

Can’t let you IN.

Can’t DRAW the line.

Can’t tell if it’s ASHES.

Can’t tell if it’s TRUE.

Can’t be who I was.

Can’t be WITHOUT the ache of you

What are YOU to ME?

A shape-shifted ache.

A tempest in silence.

A truth I kept folding

crease after careful crease until it became

ALMOST nothing.

This poem shows how we feel stuck between rock and hard place that we forget we have a third choice. It all depends on you. Powerful piece Komal!

  • Whoa this was devastating. Really liked the structure you used

Brilliant so unique so deeply from your guts and so freeing in its expression both thru words poem and structure and thru images that You choose :) !!!!! and the image takes me back to time where i did such work as a so called artist i love this darknest because its actually not Yours to carry but to free yourself this very expressive way whenever it comes on you from others like a rain !

"Can’t run FROM it. Can’t run TO it." Inexorably stuck between... I feel the angst, great job Komal ... 😊❤️🌙☀️💫

Your poem is a beautiful exploration of possibility and choice — the quiet power in the word ‘can.’ It reminds us how much strength lies in hope and determination, even when the path isn’t clear. Such an inspiring and uplifting piece.

  • The rhythm here illustrates the complexity of relationships can't live with them, can't live without them! Excellent, my friend!

  • When nothing gives you something to write about, that's something, right? Hehehe ... cheers my dear Komal! You always amaze me! :-)

This feels like fleeting vapor and it has such a beautiful longing behind the words.

But you CAN write amazing poems! ✨ Komal, every line felt like a cry, and the bold "nothing" at the end is such a gut-punch. I truly hope you are well!!

Excellent work. I love the punchy hits one after another. "Can’t REWIND the start. Can’t REWRITE the end." Oof, that one got me.

'Can't sever the tether' in this poem is such a great line. It's going to repeat in my brain all day.
