I'd love to escape
Calgon, take me away
to a warm, secret place
a bright, brand-new day
The sun in the sky
and its glow on my face
Where even if, you don't try
there's a smile on your face
The mornings are tender
the stress is at bay
Some music playing on fender
stirring your body to sway
Lost in the music
time can take some time off
Where the melody 's sick
a chilled glass and Smirnoff
Or whatever you crave
leave the judgement at the door
It's your chance, misbehave
that's what daydreams are for
So, whatever, name your poison
it's your moment to shine
Come, escape from your prison
and I'll escape mine

This was so wonderful! Loved this so much!
Let's go!
This takes me back to those Calgon commercials from my childhood. I'd forgotten all about them. But I need to ask your advice on something. Is it wise for me to escape from the reality's prison of the present when my daydreams tend to be day-mares?
I guessed the subtitle before I clicked. I hope you find something to relieve the tension.
Vacation play time for you.
Perfect poem to start the morning with. If only Calgon ( not even quite sure what Calgon was, but I believe bubblebath?) could take us to that special place for a few minutes each day! 😊❤️😊
I couldn't resist reading once I saw the title :) My mom always bought Calgon and I remember the commercials so vividly. I used to switch the saying up and say, "Calgon, take everyone else away" hahahah. This was great and I'd love to escape for awhile. Great rhyming and flow as always :)
