Cactus

A haiku

By Seema PatelPublished 8 months ago 1 min read

"So many precious lessons

from the cactus, icon of resilience,

lovely blossoms and thorns."

Note: Cacti thrive in the arid and harsh deserts of the American Southwest.

They are a symbol of resilience — with thorns to protect themselves from predators, yet they bloom with stunning flowers to attract pollinators, bear fruit, spread seeds, and ensure their own continuation.

I always pick up precious life lessons from the cactus.
