Bringing & Letting

Bring in, Let Go

By Max McDanielPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

There’s always talk somewhere

about seeing the sunset.

We bring in those good vibes

subconsciously planning what’s next.

Letting go of our happiness

a sort of self-sacrifice.

Embracing the warmth of daytime.

Yet, living deep in the night.

Understanding

that this is an infinite spiral

will strive for us to do better

may induce a nice smile.

So bring in the sun

move into the light.

There’s nothing with new homes

you can still visit the night.

No need to just sit there

trying to break this endless cycle.

It’s easier to balance out.

Make the Ups & Downs level.

You can’t always be happy

but can always be sad.

The inconsistency of emotions

is a sort of threatening notion.

So take the limited Joy

we experience in life.

Introduce it to Sadness

marry them as Husband & Wife.

Be the bond of their marriage

keeping them as equal as you can.

Sadness might fight back.

But Joy will lend you a hand.

A sort of open relationship,

them together with all emotions,

feeding and leeching off Sadness,

the most infinite of oceans.

Eventually the tears will dry

throughout all your tough times.

As after the Sun sets.

Night fueling your fright.

It’ll rise once again

a way of saying.

It’s all right.

About the Creator

Max McDaniel

I’m pretty new to writing Poetry and Creative Writing in general. I was pretty nervous about publishing anything but due to the support from Friends and Family I’ve decided to put myself out there and hopefully make someone’s day.
