Brick Wall

I don’t hear you anymore

Brick Wall

Inside my ears is a brick wall,

I don’t hear you anymore at all.

I block you out, no matter the shout,

sob stories, talk, and lies—I tune them out.

This wall protects, shields my mind,

From manipulation, cruel and unkind.

You bullied, twisted, and deceived too much,

Now to me, your words are out of touch.

Each brick is built from the pain you gave,

A fortress strong, a soul to save,

Your screams rebound, your guilt ignored,

This wall is my peace, my final reward.

No longer do I bend or break,

Your empty cries are a path I won’t take.

The lies you spun, the trust you stole,

Are locked outside—no longer my role.

This silence is mine, a gift I earned,

From lessons cruel, from bridges burned.

So shout if you will, the wall won’t fall,

Inside my ears I built a brick wall.

Good job this is one way to deal with certain issues and people, but think before you leap and first try to listen.
