Breathe Life into Life

That place where memories float
Lived in what was once a paper boat

The kid in you is still so BRIGHT
The pillow captured your echoed fright
***
The plants you watered have sprouted
In the pots you carved never doubted
***
The curtains now wander to the SUN
Reflecting newness, the past undone
***
The sky still adores you, says it's YOURS
The stars still singing, open locked doors
***
The universe was happy and wants you to be
Through life's TRIALS but it will help you see
***
The prismatic colors of a future flight
Flow into your world of black and white

When we're happy time flies, when we're sad it goes slow
New mercies flow with the sun's golden glow
***
Don't ever live SMALL, regret not the past
Look to the sunlight, the dark walls will be BLAST
Start wanting a fresh new START
A world where you DON'T have to grow up
Where the child in you is ALLOWED to show up
Let that child reclaim and catch her sweet breath
***
For every death the child in you has died
There's REBIRTH where joy and wonder collide
***
That place is still your HOME , not apart
It's both a place and a feeling in your tender heart
***
Remember this WORLD that was made just for you
Your joys will outnumber your hurts, by more than a few
***
This world holds both TRUTH and yes, lies
But the garden GROWS by the rain from the skies
***
You are God's most expansive TREASURE
You are loved BEYOND worth, of this there is no measure
Of the essence of you in your story
Stay strong, stay you, and you'll be SAFE in the Glory.

Getting Serious About Comedy (Part I)
If I were asked to remark on my life and the childhood that paved some road leading me to this point, I would have to say something about all the funny people who surrounded me for the last 26,872 days (and counting). Somewhere along that road, I became a big fan of laughter and the comedy that spawns it – and, I mean not only my own laughter, but the laughter of others, some of which I have actually been responsible for inducing.
