Within hushed chambers, love's echoes fade,

Two hearts, once one, now drift apart,

Memories' tender ache stays,

Symphony of tears, hushed,

Fleeting moments gone,

Promises break,

Moving on,

Farewell,

Gone.

The gradual loss is heartbreaking. You've truly captured the movement of time and the dissolution of tender feelings in the span of nine lines. Beautifully written!

Flowing words of a split in which tears of sadness are shed and only memories remain in their hearts, yet separation persists. Sad and heartbreaking. I enjoyed reading your poem, Dr. Jay.
