breadcrumb your way back into the forest, Hansel

I know your tricks

I'm not falling for your trail

you tell stories, play innocent

you want me to follow along

you haven't lost your way, you don't need saving

you work for the witch,

gathering victims, pretending you're lost

pretending you stumbled your way in front of me by accident

& I pretend like I could believe you for just a moment,

just long enough to bolt the other way,

let your breadcrumbs feed the crows

let them peck at your feet until you can't run after me anymore

Well-wrought! One who can make their own way has no need of another. When will we learn to walk side by side in mutual service, eh? Perhaps too much honesty is yet required for the old games to have lost their luster.

Wow, so profound and excellent writing. Love the intensity of it.
