Brain Fog

And the haze of love

Loving him was like the rain.

It was steady when it fell, but it wasn’t constant.

It came and went with no notice.

And it made me chilly, but also somehow warm.

My raincoat would cling to my arms in the humidity,

the sticky water vapor clouding my judgement like a fog.

My brain didn't clear until it stopped raining,

and even now,

things are a little hazy.
