The Bourgnewian European Tradition
Tis the season that winter brings
Darkness, pain and toil.
With rivers still and valleys hollowed
Be still my heart and hearts of Bourgnew for the Christmastime
Herald is our seasonal sign of hope.
She brings joy for the holidays,
Hope for the lost,
She is a light for the lonely.
O Christmastime Herald given as a seasonal sign like Constantine saw his victorious sign.
Help us battle the end of a year and grasp the beginning of a year.
With wintry cold knocking at the door, usher us into the future.
May our hearts stay bright as the lights of Christmas,
May our faith remain stronger than harsh winter.
May our hope give breath and life to our tomorrow's.
O Christmastime Herald in thy bosom lie the true treasure
More than silver lining, our golden love of self and community.
May we always lift each other
Spread more of sharing life
And be lighted by good-natured
