What you've spoken of me holds no truth

Verbal abuse lies within tongues of those who know and don't know

I prefer to be clothed with a civil disposition, and a peace about myself

Yet consideration of my emotional wellbeing was shelved, along with the things you don't care for much

You haven't been inclined to think of what you speak, before it is spoken

So therefore you should know, that my formerly broken psyche will never rise again

I will allow no human being to bend my peace into the mud

//

I've had recent dreams of myself, where I seem more aggressive than normal

I've maintained formal language for long enough, and I'm quite done

I've kept my tongue from destroying your emotional sustenance

Yet I wasn't afforded the same gesture

So know that if tested ever again, I will blend this blade with the rear of your brain

For the tongue can cut sharp like a knife

Then and only then...

You will think twice before speaking of me in such a rude, and devastating manner

sad poetry
