Goals are elusive entities. They have a tendency to elude us and become impossible to reach.

Much like mirages, they are blurry and are illusions in the desert.

But people do reach their mirages with some focus, concretisation, and determination.

A blurred oasis stretches far

Hot desert mirage, out of reach

Weary soul sees guiding light

A blurred oasis stretches far

Weariness soul cannot seem to fight

Mirage he cannot seem to breach

A blurred oasis stretches far

Hot desert mirage, out of reach.

Enjoy this Triolet Poem above. If you want to try this simple structure, it has 8 lines and an ABaAabAB rhyme scheme. The 1st, 4th, and 7th lines are similar, while the 2nd line matches the 8th line.

While it does not give a writer much space to convey multiple perspectives of a concept, it does convey ideas simply, which is what we look for when we read. The rhyme scheme is a little challenging! Have fun trying it!
