we fabricated Us with a capital U

a treehouse in a blue winter wood

(the one we coincidentally found together

in the right on of our caught hands)

you beat each nail into each board

I tarped an improvised rooftop over the edge

what's more, in any event, when it was not even close to completed I pulled you inside

furthermore, with an eyebrow positioned and a silly smile, you called it a decent spot

then you put the mallet to sleep for only 60 minutes

furthermore, we watched the willows make shadow manikins on the dividers

in the radiance of a sugar-turned moon

whenever christmas actually kicked dust rabbits around every alcove

what's more, when I said I love you as well and would not joke about this

I swear the words became shards of snow

fell over my general existence and mellowed to tears

as they arrived at my sternum

also, you helped pull the pillars for

this forest dwelling place all the way into the evening

I let the glow in your voice defrost the marrow of my bones

what's more, when it was done nestled into to you on the sawdust covering

what's more, after we bored our names into each and every board

you said, all the more certain: such a decent spot

also, I maneuvered you into my arms

also, with a kiss said: we ever figured things out

also, you said: no

God did indeed
