you have finished me off
like an old car
you have exceeded the limit
for enduring horrors – now leaves
coming off in the battered upholstery
prickly like daggers
your heart
it has never been in correlation with mine
trick of hard times
when you expect it
this essence
is leaking like oil
flat tyre or smashed window after vandalism
trivial, gruesome, agonising
instead of genuine healing
because you could only destroy
whatever grew out of this life
nothing significant
only worth urgent repair
in the garage, an immediate
recovery to a safe place
where your hands, mouth, and head
can’t reach me
interred
under a high amount
of unclean air
from your immoral acts
stinging in the ears and eyes
“bon voyage”
I should have wished you from the very start
without even saying goodbye
