"Blue" & "You"

The only two love poems I have ever written - 2011 & 2020

"BLUE" - 2011

Blue pools of light within my reach

Bright, gleaming snowflakes of blue

Piercing, straight through to my heart

Let your word to mine be true

Blue sounds of laughter skip towards me

Holding through my intense gaze

The rippling blue reads my every thought

Yet confusion brings thoughts through a maze

Blue, where art thou? Where does thy tongue speak?

For words of the shallow end arise

Does my gaze hold long enough?

Blue tea leaves move with surprise

Oh how to decipher these blue, round words

Who is this witch-a-cursing?

For one glance in reflective circles

Will reveal blue through immersing

Blue will never leave me

Not where my pulse doth lie

For blue seeks only to please me

And not to shadow my dismay

Blue, come to my open arms

Harm shall not touch your soul

Oh blue, I beg you not

Don't let your heart become coal

Do decipher, these jumbled words

Oh blue, just reach your depth

Find heart, soul, mind and body

And love, it may be kept.

"YOU" - 2020

Eyes, beyond repair

Through separated edges, a death-defying stare

Your nose, paints beautiful sculptures

In 3D motion picture sound

The essence of youth, expelled

Unwound, around spellbound paradises

That exhale through the depths

Of meaning and dreaming

Lips, crafted beyond despair

Craving the elements, the heat and the light

Serenading me in my sleep

Sensitive nets of energy, pulsing and pumping

With the predisposed result

Of feeling the vibrations from your words

Your heart, oh and your heart!

Sometimes it feels like you are a heart

Beating, and beaming

With every inch of your existence

With your excitement and absolute enthusiasm

About the mere concept of being

Your heart is not just an organ in your chest

Is is a bright, encapsulating light, of you

My love.
