blowing in the wind

a love poem, because the only thing I can find in the darkness, is more love in my heart.

i’ll plant you a forest

so green and so strong

i’ll plant you a forest

and i’ll sing you this song

.

i’ll plant you a forest

i’ll plant it for you

for this is the answer to

“what would love do?”

.

i’ll work hard and i’ll smile

to all passers by

whether the sun or the rain

fills up the sky

.

they won’t understand

they’ll think me so strange

but i know one day

that will all change

.

and i will forgive

each and everyone

for they were all in pain

and didn’t know what was wrong

.

once they feel the magic

of god in the trees

they will cry out with joy

and sink to their knees

.

i’ll give you everything

that i know and have

for a medicine woman

that is the only path

.

there is nothing i have earned

that i won’t share with you

what’s mine is also yours

i’ll never change that view

.

because i’ll love you my darling,

in time you will see

i’ll love you my darling,

for all eternity

This was so beautiful, so selfless and clever. The rhyme, the flow soft and gentle as well as pure and humbling. There’s so much wrapped up in this poem and I didn’t want it to end. ‘A medicine woman’ that part really intrigued me. This was wonderfully written, well done and congratulations on your first place win under popular stories with the most likes on this weeks leaderboard 👏🏽👌🏽🎊🎉🥳

Maybe this could start a Valentine's Day trend. Instead of sending a card to someone, you could plant a tree. Then, if things work out, in 20 years you could carve a heart on it with you and your loved-one's initials.
