Blossoming Back to Life

...from illness to spring's embrace

There is sunshine on my rose,

Waking me up from slumber

Having my first coffee after a week,

My senses start to reshuffle and

I feel I am slowly coming back to life,

From the depths of

…my self-forgiveness.

A week of sickness passed by.

My breathing had to suffer.

With a stuffy nose, hauled up in bed,

Time stopped, like in a warped zone,

A type of frozen mind clutter.

Fever and chills, headaches and nausea,

It was unlyrical, nothing short of cyclical.

I am alive; it’s all that matters.

I feel inspired by my rose.

I feel lucky and complete.

Yet like a babe, newborn again,

In a world where neighbors

drill their walls at 8 am.

What keeps me going? You might ask.

My family, and our love for nature.

The sunshine calls me out, and

whispered melodies swirl in my head.

A rhythm so divine,

I am amazed at how clear and blue the sky is!

I slowly start making plans,

To get outside in the fresh spring air,

To live again, to be alive, to love,

To dance, to smell the flowers and the air!

Welcome spring; I am alive again!

Inspired by my rose and sunshine,

I yearn to share my words and dreams.
