The river runs red deep filled with loyal blood.

I never knew that my body was filled with royal blood.

They think I’m unenlightened, but I’m the opposite.

A descendant of history from the African continent.

I helped build the world with my laboring activities.

Made for liberty, but also bred in the chains of captivity.

I faced a few setbacks and had to dig my way out of pitfalls.

No matter. I will be triumphant I’m here to get it all.

Listen to the hymns that of which all my ancestors sing.

In the words of Nas Jones, I have the blood of a slave and the heart of a king.
