Blissful Ignorance

Poetry

By Sean HunterPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

The breath I choose to use,

To breathe life into these words,

Was taken by the weak, from too many,

As the ignorance floods the news

Chants of Black Lives Matters is absurd,

Cause the meek, die by the plenty.

The First and the Last,

The Originator of all,

The Beauty is what they fear.

No, this shall not pass,

Off your knees, stand tall,

I hope to make this clear.

Educate without school,

About the past to the present,

The future will be dim

Lack of preparation is for fools,

And may I mention,

You must protect your kin.

We've built foundations,

Bestowed knowledge,

Spread the Earth with internal love.

It's truly amazing,

How all these cowards,

Can hate a blessing from above.
