Black is Beauty

Shades and Sizes of Black Women

By Jacques D ElliottPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

*My love for Black Women*

You are beautiful, don't let anyone fool you.

All the fraudulent lies spread, can often make you feel mislead.

Stay sagacious gorgeous Melanin Queen,

For these barren words are evidently not true.

"The darker the berry the sweeter the juice"

Truer words have never been said.

Your natural hair is sublime, so don't be ashamed, let it be free and flow loose.

Have a hubristic mindset when people stare.

They act a certain way, snarky, because they are fully aware,

That they want to be you and think it's unfair.

A confident and successful Melanin Queen is the most breathtaking sight ever seen.

Don't have it be contorted,

Makeup is not needed on your heavenly face,

but merely there only to support it.

Your body is shaped nice no matter what people may say,

you're simply perfect in every kind of way.

So if you think twice about your physical appearance,

Let these words: "You Are Beautiful No Matter What," be your mental interference.
