Black And White

a stream-of-consciousness poem

Sitting in the darkness, adorned in black,

My mind consumed by dark thoughts, swirling like a flock of ravens in the field.

Enveloped in a world of stark contrasts, devoid of shades of grey,

Only the flaw in my brain remains,

Sufficiently shattered.

I explore divergent routes,

Encountering bugs disguised in autumnal attire.

Rotten leaves and forest litter serve as a disguise.

Faced with these monstrous beings, we can hide

Starved emotions, like an elephant in the house, concealed,

But they will inevitably emerge, with violence, destruction revealed

No matter how hard you try to ignore it,

When the crack of dawn arrives,

Revealing the deceit

That has been going on for decades.

How did you avoid discussing it?

Instead, you created a false sense of connection,

Which now dissipates with the first winter wind

Not asking for anything in return,

Except for the beggar's provisions on the corner of the city.

Questioning society,

By engaging in acts against humanity.

Similar to this bug, puzzled and oblivious,

To the crimes occurring unbeknownst to him.

It must be some kind of sick, ongoing joke, and I shut my eyes in disbelief.
