A comedic epistolary poem from Apollo to you about Zeus/Jupiter

Zeus/Jupiter | Olympian/Roman God of Thunder & Lightning | Ruler, Protector, and Father of all Gods and Humans

Hello, child!

It is I,

Your favourite,

Phoebus Apollo.

I’m sure you’ve heard already.

Your generation is well-versed in mythology.

And this may come as slander

But tell your friends

“Beware of the thunder.”

Father has some nasty history.

We were all born from his tragedies.

I like the idea of introducing him to mortal therapy

Just like that Lucifer show on TV.

But I fear that I’ll be punished once again

And live with humanity.

We all know how much you despise it

And how it causes you anxiety.

Yeah...no, thanks!

Sorry, I don’t mean to be a bummer.

Anyway, watch out for that thunder

Please don’t call it pretty,

Or call Him Sky Daddy.

It's creepy.

He knows no boundaries.

Watch out for swans.

Or floating orbs.

Or eagles.

Or snakes.

Watch out for ALL creatures...maybe.

Oh Styx, just be careful!

Attracting that certain Deity

Will cause difficulties and anxiety.

Tell your friends to be wary

And stop seducing the lightning!

This poem came as a silly musical score in my dreams last night and I thought I should share it because I couldn't stop laughing (until now).

Anyway, this poem is inspired by the Greek/Roman Mythology: Zeus/Jupiter.

Zeus is known for many things (no slander here, Zeus! Just fun facts, okay? Don't smite me).

He is the almighty Olympian/Roman God of thunder & lightning. Considered to be the first of the Big Three: Zeus/Jupiter, Poseidon/Neptune, and Hades/Pluto.

Also considered to be the:

Ruler, Protector, and Father of all Gods and Humans

However, he is also known for causing problems in his marriage with Hera/Juno. His affairs (mostly non-consensual) led to mortals meeting their untimely deaths, or worse, being cursed for all eternity by Hera/Juno.

Thus, attracting His attention is never a good sign.

So...STOP SEDUCING THE LIGHTNING AND STOP CALLING HIM SKY DADDY!

Or do what you want. I can't tell you how to live your life. LOL.
