I Heard You Calling My Name

Tribute to Phoebus Apollo | Patron of Poetry, Music, Arts, Medicine, Archery, and Prophecies

Hello, mortal.

She who's fallen.

I heard your call.

I thought you would never ask.

And finally, you have!

You have no idea how long I waited

For you to finally realize

That you were never alone.

You had us on standby

With me on the front lines.

I have been trying to reach you.

Through dreams, nightmares, and night terrors.

Through the sunlight that brought warmth to your skin.

Through music that you have on repeat.

Through the arts that brought colour into your life.

Through poetry that you sought refuge in.

Oh, I tried!

We watched you cry.

Fall.

Scream.

And retreat into darkness.

Tormenting yourself.

Bringing hell to yourself.

And it was torture to watch,

Knowing that we were always here

yet you refused to hear.

Oh, here we are.

Stubborn one you are.

But finally, you’re awake!

So, dearest,

Dust yourself off.

Lift your chin,

And dry your tears.

You will have me as your guide,

While you take back your power

With pride.

We will reclaim your wings,

And teach you how to fly.

I’ll be by your side,

As we sail through these violent tides.

We will be invincible.

Unstoppable.

Unbreakable.

Untouchable.

Just promise me your loyalty

And I shall be your Deity.

Keep singing my name

And I am yours to claim.

Phoebus Apollo it is.

The steward of your dreams.

I heard you calling my name.

I am yours to claim.

You are mine to claim.
