Betrayal by My Husband
Betrayal by my husband,
the wound I never guessed.
His voice was sweet with comfort,
his lips were lined with lies.
I trusted all he gave me,
I built my life on faith.
But shadows kept him busy,
with secrets not On show.
Betrayal by my husband,
a knife without a sound.
It cut into my spirit,
and left me bleeding still.
The vows we made were broken,
like glass upon the floor.
No hands can piece together,
the sharpness of that pain.
Betrayal by my husband,
has turned my nights to stone.
I lie awake in silence,
with questions never solved.
The ring upon my finger,
is heavy now with grief.
A circle once unbroken,
now twisted out of shape.
Betrayal by my husband,
I say the words aloud.
For speaking makes it real,
and frees me from his hold.
One day I will recover,
and love will come again.
But never will I forget,
The betrayal by my husband.

Wow. You continue to write very effective, hard-hitting poetry. I see you very much as a kindred spirit.
This is just too sad, but I know that this happens way too often in this society. Good emotional job.
