I was reborn in your light that day
I picked up my pen
Regenerating slowly
Finally able to overcome
The fear of my pain
β§βΛ πβ β‘β
I heard your voice
From the other side
Opened my eyes
As if for the first time
β§βΛ πβ β‘β
Every stroke of my pen
Every click of the key
Is a bit of growth
Toward the person
I know I was born to be
β§βΛ πβ β‘β
Shedding away
The scarred scales
Of my past
To release me from
The poison
That clouded
My dreams
Suppressing the
Lies and immobility to
All-consuming black
β§βΛ πβ β‘β
I'm a dreamer of
Shimmering sights
Behind teary eyes and the
Most ghastly of trials
I ride echoes of color and light
Ride them, flying far
Past the stars, to the galaxy
Of creation
I've been drawn to
All my life
