You walk in silence, dressed in shade,
A mystery not meant to fade.
You feel in depth, not breadth or speed
You are the hunger, not the need.
A glance from you can cut through lies,
You see what even truth denies.
You hold your wounds beneath the skin,
And love like war you plan to win.
You’ll test the soul of those you trust
Not out of hate, but primal must.
To love you is to dive, not wade
To honor what can’t be betrayed.
You change, you burn, you rise anew
Not better real, and raw, and true.
You do not fear the end of things,
You know the dark rebirth it brings.
Still waters, yes but full of storm.
A depth where others dare not form.
You are the lock, the key, the flame
The silence that still speaks your name.
About the Creator
E. C. Mira
I’m a poet at heart, always chasing the quiet moments and turning them into words. Most of what I write is poetry, but every now and then inspiration pulls me in new directions.
