Hearken not to false,

Half the seen, seen through clouded,

Truth lies in the dark.

🍃

Veiled truths unravel,

Echoes twist through shadowed skies,

Eyes deceive the soul.

🍃

Silent lips that lie,

Half-truths painted in night’s dark,

Doubt and vision vie.

🍃

Perception's cold lens,

From lying lips, under moon,

Truth speaks a faint spark.

🍃

Whispers the night sky,

Trust fading as shadows blush,

Eyes cry. Nevermore!

"Is all we see or seem But a dream within a dream?" My love of Poe supercedes that of any other writer. Well-wrought!
