Behind the Veil of Nothingness

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished about 14 hours ago 1 min read

Verse 1

I’ve been walkin’ through this world like it’s solid,

Like every mile is carved in stone.

But the older I get, the more I notice

How the edges shimmer when I’m alone.

There’s a quiet truth beneath the surface,

A whisper hidin’ in the dust and light—

That what we call “real” is just a doorway,

And meaning lives on the other side.

Chorus

Behind the veil of nothingness,

There’s a heartbeat we all miss.

A deeper truth that waits for us

In the spaces we resist.

Reality ain’t just what we see,

It’s the soul remembering what it is.

Behind the veil of nothingness

Is where the meaning lives.

Verse 2

I’ve chased answers like a wild horse runnin’,

Tried to hold the world in my hands.

But every time I thought I’d found it,

It slipped away like desert sand.

Maybe life ain’t meant for graspin’,

Maybe it’s meant for bein’ known—

A sacred dance of light and shadow,

Where the unseen leads us home.

Chorus

Behind the veil of nothingness,

There’s a heartbeat we all miss.

A deeper truth that waits for us

In the spaces we resist.

Reality ain’t just what we see,

It’s the soul remembering what it is.

Behind the veil of nothingness

Is where the meaning lives.

Bridge

Maybe the world is a holy illusion,

A mirror made of breath and dust.

Maybe the point was never the answers—

Maybe the point was learning to trust.

Final Chorus

Behind the veil of nothingness,

There’s a love we can’t dismiss.

A quiet truth that calls us back

To the center of all this.

Reality ain’t just flesh and bone,

It’s the soul waking up again.

Behind the veil of nothingness

Is where the meaning lives.
